Elizabeth Wickham Leigh was born on 5 May 1824 at Richmond, Virginia.1,2 She was the daughter of Benjamin Watkins Leigh and Julia Wickham. As of 15 July 1846, her married name was Fry.2

Elizabeth Wickham Leigh married Charles Merriwether Fry on 15 July 1846.2

Elizabeth Wickham Leigh and Chapman Johnson Leigh appeared in the 1850 census on 24 July 1850 as a household member living with Charles Merriwether Fry at Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. The official date for this census was 01 June 1850. She was listed as Elizabeth Fry, age 26, born in Virginia; Charles M Fry, age 28, merchant, born in Virginia.3 Elizabeth Wickham Leigh applied for a passport on 20 April 1857 at New York, New York County, New York. She was described as age 33, 5 feet 4 inches tall, high forehead, brown eyes, small nose, medium mouth, broad chin, black hair, fluid complexion, and a round face.1

Charles Merriwether Fry married Elizabeth Wickham Leigh, daughter of Benjamin Watkins Leigh and Julia Wickham, on 15 July 1846.1

Charles Merriwether Fry appeared in the 1850 census as the head of household, free population schedule at Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, on 24 July 1850. Also living in the house was Elizabeth Wickham Leigh and Chapman Johnson Leigh. He was listed as Charles M Fry, age 28, merchant, born in Virginia.3 Charles Merriwether Fry applied for a passport on 20 April 1857 at New York, New York County, New York. He was described as 35 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, high forehead, brown eyes, long nose, medium mouth, narrow chin, ruddy complexion, and a long face.2

John Wickham Leigh was listed as the head of household on the 1870 census on 30 August 1870 at Monterey, Monterey County, California. Also living in the house was his wife, Camille Bowie, his son, Benjamin Watkins Leigh, Chapman Leigh and Hamilton Leigh. He was listed as John W. Leigh, age 42, editor of the Monterey Democrat, born in Virginia.2

John Wickham Leigh appeared in the 1880 census as the head of household on 4 June 1880 at Castroville, Monterey County, California. Also living in the house was his wife, Camille Bowie Leigh, his son, Benjamin Watkins Leigh, Chapman Leigh and Hamilton Leigh, his daughter, Mary W Leigh, Elizabeth Leigh and Julia Leigh. He was listed as John Leigh, age 50, editor, born in Virginia as were his parents.3

John Wickham Leigh appeared in the 1900 census as the head of household on 22 June 1900 at Soledad, Monterey County, California. Also living in the house was his wife, Camille Bowie, his son, Benjamin Watkins Leigh, Chapman Leigh and Hamilton Leigh, his daughter, Elizabeth Leigh and Julia Leigh, his daughter-in-law, Margaret I Leigh, his granddaughter, Margaret Leigh. He was listed as J W Leigh, age 75, born July 1824 in Virginia, farmer, married 39 years.4

John Wickham Leigh died on 18 November 1904 at California at age 79.

The official date for this census was 01 June 1860. She was listed as Ella Goodwin, age 6, born in Virginia; Frederick Goodwin, 56, born in Massachusetts. His occupation was Minister of the Episcopal Church. His real estate was valued at $3,000; his personal property, $6,000.1

Ella Rosa Goodwin died on 5 April 1928 at age 74.8 Ella Rosa Goodwin never married.

Benjamin Goodwin was born on 21 February 1731/32. He was the son of John Goodwin and (Female) Hopkins.

Benjamin Goodwin married Hannah LeBaron, daughter of Lazarus LeBaron and Lydia Bartlett, on 17 November 1757. He was 25 at the time.

When he was 43, his wife, Hannah LeBaron Goodwin, died on 25 October 1775 at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 41.

Benjamin Goodwin died on 30 November 1792 at Easton, Bristol County, Massachusetts, at age 60. Benjamin was survived by his children Daniel Goodwin.

Lydia Bartlett was born in 1698. She was the daughter of Joseph Bartlett and Lydia Griswold.

Her father, Joseph Bartlett, died in 1703 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.

Lydia Bartlett married Lazarus LeBaron, son of Frances LeBaron and Mary Wilder, on 16 May 1720. Her married name was Lydia Bartlett LeBaron.

Lydia Bartlett LeBaron died on 19 May 1742. Lydia was survived by her husband, Lazarus LeBaron. Lydia was survived by her children, Hannah LeBaron.
