Her eldest daughter, Miss Frances Rutherford Goodwin, became the bride of Mr. Samuel Henry Coleman, of Roanoke. and the second daughter, Miss Ella Harvie Goodwin, was wedded to Mr. Eduouard Ferdinand Henriques, of New Orleans.

The old church was beautifully decorated with white chrysanthemums, pot plants, ferns and palms in the greatest profusion and arranged in perfect taste. The scene from the body of the church was one of the loveliness rarely surpassed. The edifice was crowded with spectators.

To the strains of the wedding march, played by Miss Ella R Goodwin, an aunt of the bride, the bridal party entered in the following order: First the ribbon girls, little Misses Elizabeth Wheat, of Richmond, and Maggie Ribble.
