John Ladson was born at England.

John Ladson married Mary Stanyarne.

John Ladson died in September 1698. John was survived by his wife, Mary Stanyarne Ladson.

Research Notes: John Ladson was an English merchant from Northhamptonshire, England.

On 20 May 1678, he made his brother Francis, of Carolina, his attorney and on 13 Aug. 1679 was granted a ticket from Barbadoes to Carolina on the barque Plantation.

Between 1679 and 1695, he received land grants totaling 1300 ac. between the Ashley and Cooper Rivers in Berkeley County, and two town lots in Charleston. He served in the Commons House of Assembly when he was elected to the First Assembly (1692-1694) for Berkeley County.

He was also a member of the Second Assembly (1695) and was elected to the Third Assembly (1696-1697) for Berkeley and Craven Counties.

John Ladson was a very active member of the Quaker community in Charleston.

John Ladson married Mary Stanyarne the daughter of fellow Quakers, Thomas Stanyarne and his wife Mary. John's wife Mary came to Carolina with her parents in 1675. John Ladson and his wife Mary Stanyarne Ladson had five children.

Alice Lalime was born on 20 November 1900 at Lawrence, Essex County, Massachusetts.1 She was the daughter of Edward Lalime and Anna (?).1

Alice Lalime married William Featherston Davis Sr, son of Samuel Davis and Elizabeth R Judge, on 27 November 1921. She was 21 at the time. They were married in Georgia or New Haven, Conn.1 As of 27 November 1921, her married name was Alice Lalime Davis.1

Alice Lalime Davis appeared in the 1930 census as the wife of William Featherston Davis Sr Brunswick, Glynn County, Georgia, on 14 April 1930. She was listed as Alice L Davis, age 29, married, born in Mass, no occupation. She was 22 when she married. Her mother was born in Mass, and her father was French Canadian.2

Alice Lalime Davis died on 27 February 1995 at Methuen, Essex County, Massachusetts, at age 94.1

The official date for this census was 01 June 1870. He was listed as Calbraith Lamar, age 8, born in South Carolina, attending school.1

Peay and Nicholas Adamson Peay appeared in the 1860 census on 24 September 1860 as a household member living with Thomas G. Lamar at Edgefield, Edgefield County, South Carolina. The official date for this census was 01 June 1860. She was listed as Celia Lamar, age 4, born in South Carolina.1

B. D. Lamar, John C. Lamar, Celia Lamar and Calbraith Lamar appeared in the 1870 census on 29 July 1870 as a household member living with Sarah (?) at Hamburg, Edgefield County, South Carolina. Elizabeth I. Lamar was born in 1877 at South Carolina.1 She was the daughter of Abner Whatley Lamar and Elizabeth B. Webb.

Oralie Lamar and Elizabeth I. Lamar appeared in the 1880 census as a daughter of Abner Whatley Lamar on 22 June 1880 at Kirkwood, Kershaw County, South Carolina. She was listed as E.I. Lamar, age 3, born in South Carolina.1

Elizabeth I. Lamar, Marie Lamar, Annie Lamar and Elizabeth McKenzie appeared in the 1910 census as a daughter of Abner Whatley Lamar on 21 April 1910 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee. She was listed as Elizabeth Lamar, age 28, single, born in South Carolina. Her occupation was cashier for an insurance company.2

Elizabeth I. Lamar died.
