Carlton Mitchell Eppes Sr's obituary appeared in the newspaper on 26 May 1999. It listed Oliver C Osborne as surviving him. He was listed as his son, Oliver C. Osborne, of Portsmouth.3

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy. Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels.

Elizabeth Berkeley Parham was born on 14 April 1926.1 She was the daughter of Everard Meade Parham and Effie Wrenn.

Elizabeth Berkeley Parham appeared in the 1940 census as an adopted daughter of Everard Meade Parham at Stony Creek, Sussex County, Virginia, on 1940. She was listed as Elizabeth Parham, age 14, single, born in Virginia, attending school. She had completed 1 year of high school.2

Elizabeth Berkeley Parham married Samuel Shelton Horne, son of Benjamin Thomas Horne Sr and Leah Pace Briggs, on 16 June 1951. Her married name was Elizabeth Berkeley Parham Horne.

When she was 33, her mother, Effie Wrenn Parham, died on 8 August 1959 at Virginia at age 70.

When she was 36, her father, Everard Meade Parham, died on 1 November 1962 at Virginia at age 79.3

Elizabeth Berkeley Parham Horne died on 12 January 1973 at Virginia at age 46. Elizabeth was survived by her husband, Samuel Shelton Horne. Elizabeth was survived by her children, Meade Parham Horne, Patricia Shelton Horne, Elizabeth Berkeley Horne.1 She was buried after 12 January 1973 in Blandford Cemetery in Section GG, located at 319 S Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia.1

Everard Meade Parham was born on 21 April 1883 at Virginia.2 He was the son of Fannie (?).1

Everard Meade Parham married Effie Wrenn.1

Everard Meade Parham appeared in the 1940 census as the head of household on 1940 at Stony Creek, Sussex County, Virginia. Also living in the house was his wife, Effie Wrenn, his mother, Fannie (?). He was listed as Mead Parham, age 57, married, born in Virginia. His occupation was owner of a saw mill. He owned his home, valued at $6,000. He had completed 7th grade.3

When he was 76, his wife, Effie Wrenn Parham, died on 8 August 1959 at Virginia at age 70.

His wife, Effie Wrenn Parham, was buried on 8 August 1959 in Blandford Cemetery in Ward GG, Section 1, Square 3 at 319 S Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia, aged 70.4

Everard Meade Parham died on 1 November 1962 at Virginia at age 79. Everard was survived by his children Elizabeth Berkeley Parham.2 He was buried after 1 November 1962 in Blandford Cemetery in Ward GG, Section 1, Square 3, located at 319 S Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia.2
