Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by one daughter, Frances Poole Purdy and a grandson, Robert Poole. The funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Concord United Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will meet friends at a reception in the church social hall immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Poole's memory to Concord United Methodist Church

Herschell Austin Cashion Sr., 89, died peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday, July 11, 2001.

Born on April 8, 1912 in Statesville, N.C., Mr. Cashion was a resident of Hampton and Newport News for over 61 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the 366th Ordnance Company AA. He was a former employee of TRT and the State of Virginia, having retired in 1974. He was also a member of Hampton Roads Baptist Church.Mr. Cashion was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Dallas Eppes Cashion.

Survivors include this three sons, Herschell Austin Cashion Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Dallas, Texas, Donald Thomas Cashion, M.D. and his wife, Juliea, of Virginia Beach and Ronald Edward Cashion and his wife, Janet, of Alexandria; four grandchildren, James Herschell Cashion of Kansas City, Kansas, Anne Stuart Heckman of Vail, Colorado, Margaret Lee Cashion of Alexandria and Caroline Dallas Cashion of Virginia Beach; and his great-granddaughter, Hannah Jean Cashion Heckman of Vail, Colo.

He was a devoted husband and father.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in Peninsula Memorial Park by the Rev. Brad Phillips.

Julia was a natural beauty, and took great pride in her job as Executive Director of Golden Living Nursing Care, Administrator Sentara Life Care - Windermere, Vice President with Envoy Retirement Group, and Westminster-Canterbury.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Cashion, MD; and two daughters, Caroline Cashion and Alexandra Huffman. Also left to cherish her memory are all her many dear friends and co workers.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 21, 2010, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital, Department of Orthopaedic Oncology, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114 or the Duke University Hospital, Department of Orthopaedic Oncology, Box 2923, Durham, NC 27710.

Virginia J (?) married Lloyd Edward Cashion, son of George Stewart Cashion and Lonie Lowthorpe. Her married name was Cashion.

Her husband, Lloyd Edward Cashion, died on 13 November 1992 at Newport News, Virginia, at age 85 in a hospital as the result of an automobile accident.1,2

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Deer Park Baptist Church by the Rev. Gary Burden and the Rev. Clarence Hilling. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park with Fire Department honors. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Peninsula Funeral Home. Her husband, Casper E Eppes Sr, died on 26 July 1972 at Suffolk, Virginia, at age 60.

Margaret Ann Mills died on 8 January 2004 at age 89. Margaret was survived by her children Norma Eppes, Gayle Eppes and Gene Eppes.1,2

He was listed as John McManamin, age 6, born in Pennsylvania, at home ; Michael McManamin, age 40, born in Ireland, cannot read or write. His occupation was coal miner. Also in the house was James McManamin, coal miner, age 23, born in Ireland; Dennis McManamin, age 21, coal miner, born in Ireland; and John McManamin, age 21, laborer, born in Ireland; John McCelvey, age 25, laborer, born in Ireland; and James McCelvery, age 22, laborer, born in Ireland.2

John McManamin, Patrick D McManamin and Anthony McManamin appeared in the 1880 census as a grandson of Dennis McManamin at Belfield, Greensfield County, Virginia, on 28 June 1880. Daniel John Rauhe was born on 10 April 1926.1 He was the son of James Frederick Rauhe and Elizabeth Bach. Daniel John Rauhe was also known as Danny Rauhe.

Daniel John Rauhe married Estelle Theresa Bendall, daughter of James Richard Bendall Sr and Margaret Agnes Lindamood. Daniel John Rauhe and Estelle Theresa Bendall were divorced on 20 November 1974 at Halifax County, North Carolina.

He is survived by two daughters, Cherri Steadman and her husband, Tommy, of Roanoke Rapids, and Donna Cook and her husband, Don, of Columbia, Md; three sons, John Rauhe and his wife, Lynn, of Roanoke Rapids, Fred "Jim" Rauhe and his wife, Paula, of Vineland, N.J., and Scott Rauhe and his wife, Jennifer, of Cary; three step-daughters, Dorothy Webb and her husband, Warner, of Englewood, Fla., Brenda Vance and her husband, Bill, of San Marcos, Calif., Suzie Pyles and her husband, Harley, of Buena, N.J., one stepson, Larry McKenzie and his wife, JoAnn, of Rotunda West, Fla; one brother, Richard Rauhe and his wife, Betty, of Glendale, Ariz; one sister, Gwen Egan of Rotunda, Fla; five grandchildren, Renee Peterson, Mark Mitchell, Heather, Christopher and Rebecca Rauhe; one special grandchild, Holly; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; a special loving friend, Annie Woodruff.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1, at Calvary Baptist Church at 3 p.m. and conducted by the Rev. John Mason. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 29, at Hockaday Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of Cherri and Tommy Steadman, 437 Rapids St., Roanoke Rapids.

Hockaday Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
